    String summary "A digital camera on top of the Sheraton Waikiki hotel was used to photograph the shoreline of Waikiki beach along the South Shore of the island of Oahu in the State of Hawaii. The oblique camera view presented here captures the shoreline leading southeast towards Diamond Head crater. It operated for over 4.5 years between February 5, 2009 and October 13, 2013. Capturing hourly snapshots at a set vantage point during the local daytime hours of 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, these images are useful for tracking beach dynamics such as wave run-up, sand movement, and turbidity plumes over time. The camera was mounted on top of a 3 meter wall extending above the roof surface for a total height of 93 meters above ground level or 96 meters above mean sea level. See also beachcam_002 for an alternate camera view from the same location pointing directly downwards.";

Using tabledap to Request Data and Graphs from Tabular Datasets

tabledap lets you request a data subset, a graph, or a map from a tabular dataset (for example, buoy data), via a specially formed URL. tabledap uses the OPeNDAP (external link) Data Access Protocol (DAP) (external link) and its selection constraints (external link).

The URL specifies what you want: the dataset, a description of the graph or the subset of the data, and the file type for the response.

Tabledap request URLs must be in the form
https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/datasetID.fileType{?query}
For example,
https://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap/tabledap/pmelTaoDySst.htmlTable?longitude,latitude,time,station,wmo_platform_code,T_25&time>=2015-05-23T12:00:00Z&time<=2015-05-31T12:00:00Z
Thus, the query is often a comma-separated list of desired variable names, followed by a collection of constraints (e.g., variable<value), each preceded by '&' (which is interpreted as "AND").

For details, see the tabledap Documentation.
